How does Synkro work with Shopify Bundles?

Synkro syncs the inventory of a bundle's component products, while the bundle app calculates the bundle's own availability in each store.

We sell individual Small, Medium, and Large suitcases, and we also sell a Set containing 1× Small + 1× Medium + 1× Large. The Set is configured as a Shopify Bundle in both of our stores. How does Synkro handle the bundle product itself, and how are component stock changes synchronized to the other store? Can we exclude the bundle products from inventory syncing while continuing to sync the individual component products?

Synkro works alongside bundle products by syncing the component products within the bundle. It’s important to make sure the bundle product has a different SKU than its component products so that inventory levels don’t get synced between them.

When a bundle product is sold, the bundle app reduces the inventory levels of the component products. Synkro then syncs the component product inventory levels to the other store, where the bundle app responds to the new component inventory levels and updates the bundle product.

In short: Synkro syncs the component product inventory levels, and the bundle app manages the inventory level of the bundle product in each store. This works the same way when the bundle is configured in both stores.

As an extra measure, you can disable inventory syncing on the bundle products by adding the tag synkro-disable to them. The component products will continue to sync as normal.
